Kerry Kapaku comes from a long history of training, performing, and teaching ballet and contemporary dance professionally. She has been dancing since she was just four years old, holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Education from The Ohio State University, and currently dances and teaches professionally in Indianapolis, IN.

Kerry was introduced to Lindy Hop and vintage dancing during her time at OSU, and has been hooked ever since. Kerry has a passion for teaching, and brings that enthusiasm into every class she teaches, whether she’s teaching a large group or a doing a one-on-one private lesson. She also has a love of competing, and has placed at events such as LindyFest, Nevermore Jazz Ball, Heartland Swing Festival, and Camp Hollywood. Kerry also specializes in St. Louis Shag, and is considered to be one of the strongest shag dancers in the Midwest region.


Kerry also serves as Head Instructor of Naptown Stomp Lindy Hop Society, Indianapolis’s only ogranization dedicated to teaching, preserving, and promoting vintage dancing.
